It is just the government continuing with their political power play, says TLU SA. “The faster government lifts the limitations and South Africans start taking responsibility for their health, the sooner the mechanisms to have the economy function again, will start up again,” says Mr. Henry Geldenhuys, the president of TLU SA. “TLU SA is still very concerned about the ANC holding on to expropriation without compensation and nationalizing the Reserve Bank,” says Mr. Geldenhuys. “Creating trust with investors to build the economy should take centre-stage, but is an impossible feat if the government sustains this policy. The government has the chance to prove that the future of the country’s residents is a priority,” he says. “Look after the safety of all South Africans and do something to get a handle on crime. Let go of the sinking ideologies of socialism and communism, which always lead to poverty and failure. An economic policy based on the principle of private ownership and the free market will have positive economic results. It is now time to change the general policy.” TLU SA supports the Business for Ending campaign through which various well-known economists, companies and organizations demand ending the lockdown, lifting the state of disaster and converting all regulations to voluntary suggestions. Should a second wave of the pandemic and lockdown hit South Africa, the country cannot handle the resulting economic tidal wave and famine, because of the continued lockdown measures. The project is a sign of unity, working together and promoting social cohesion according to Black Tool Music. Introducing the album, one of the artists from the project have been appointed to release a single track that will alert the world about this upcoming album, and that is The Composition Band. A live music entertainment group, Black Tool Music in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, is proud to present its first music collaboration album titled, The Big 5, to be released in June 2021. The album is a collection of five different upcoming artists, which includes The Composition Band, Luyanda EM, Buyiswayo Imbongi Yabaphansi, Seluleko Zulu and MC Macphera. These artists have contributed with different genres and these are, Soul Music, African Jazz, Musical Poetry, Afro Pop and Reggae. The suspect has all personal particulars and profile of the victim, including details of bank accounts, linked accounts beneficiaries etc. The suspect then states that a transaction has appeared on an account which appears suspicious, and enquires from the victim if they have approved a transaction for a large amount of cash from their account, furnishing account details and when the victim replies in the negative, the caller informs the victim that he will reverse the charge if the victim can go onto their banking app. Once the victim has logged onto their banking app, the suspect tells the victim to supply One Time Password (OTP) that was sent via SMS to their cell phone, so that the transaction can be reversed. As soon as the OTP is given to the suspect, the suspect starts to transact on the account, increasing limits, adding beneficiaries and making payments and draining the account. Do not respond and do not supply the OTP, as this will grant the suspect full control of your account. Do not respond to these calls. Cut the call immediately, and contact your bank on their toll free numbers if you are uncertain. You can check your account privately. Do not give any OTP (One Time Password) over the phone to any individual. Your bank will not ask you for your passwords or an OTP. Losses amounting to nearly R70 000 have been reported from one victim alone. Op Saterdag, 16 Oktober, was daar ‘n fondsinsameling aangebied by Hein se Plaas, ten bate van Thea-Rita Botha (21), wat binnekort ‘n nieroorplanting moet ondergaan. Die gemeenskap was vermaak deur die bekende Pieter Naudé, asook Ermelo se eie bekende sangeres, Yolandie Terblanche. Daar was gesellig gekuier, en gedans dat die stof staan. Gerhard Prinsloo, project manager of the Innovation Hub, proudly elaborated on the project. “We started the journey when Mr. Dup van Rensburg was still at the helm, and told him that we would like to be at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution. We had the idea and the framework, and after visiting the best schools in the country presenting robotics innovation, we were ready to make work of it. SANDF Border Patrol test their mettle 1/1 Share GK CRONJE 20 April 2021 Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the troops deployed at the country’s borders continued to apprehend undocumented persons, they have prevented livestock theft, and arrested people guiding livestock towards the borderline. The South African National Defence Force soldiers deployed on Operation CORONA for Border Safeguarding are maintaining their mandate of protecting the territorial integrity of the Republic of South Africa. These forces are breaking records of confiscating contraband goods, narcotics and intercepting stolen vehicles. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the troops deployed at the country’s borders continued to apprehend undocumented persons, they have prevented livestock theft, and arrested people guiding livestock towards the borderline. From 1 January until 31 March 2021, the soldiers have confiscated contraband goods to the value of R30 988 844.44, most of which came from Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Stolen vehicles to the value of R26 393 531.00 were intercepted before they could illegally cross the borders. Narcotics valued at R21 473 511.00 have been confiscated by troops deployed in Kwazulu Natal, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape and Free State. More than 12500 undocumented persons were apprehended and handed over to the South African Police Services (SAPS). All confiscated goods were declared and handed over to the relevant state departments, including the SAPS and SARS/Customs. Other activities conducted include traffic fines issued to individuals not abiding by the road traffic rules, and fines issued against citizens who contravened lockdown curfew regulations. Furthermore, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) will increase to R21.69 per hour from 1 March 2021, translating to a 93c incremented increase. The domestic sector will be entitled to R19.09 per hour, and could be expected to be aligned with the NMW. In terms of the NMW Act of 2018, the policy framework is a floor level, below which no employee should be paid. According to the Act, it is illegal and an unfair labour practice for an employer to unilaterally alter hours of work or other conditions of employment in implementing the NMW. “The NMW is the amount payable for the ordinary hours of work, and does not include payment of allowances such as transport, tools, food or accommodation, payments in kind such as board or lodging, tips, bonuses and gifts. In considering the annual adjustment, the Commission considered factors which included inflation, the cost of living, and the need to retain the value of the minimum wage, gross domestic product, wage levels and collective bargaining outcomes, productivity, ability of employers to carry on their businesses successfully, the operation of small, medium or micro-enterprises and new enterprises, and the likely impact of the recommendation adjustment on employment or the creation of employment,” the Department of Employment and Labour stated. < Previous Article Next Article >

One of the suspects feigned interest in the displayed cellular phones, whereafter he drew a firearm and pointed it at the employee. He further demanded cash from the registers, and that all cellular phones be put in bag. The suspects ordered the store manager to the back of the store. After the store manager activated the panic button, ACSU arrived within a matter of minutes, at approximately 13:00. According to reaction officers, all seemed normal upon arrival, but when officers approached the store, one of the employees stated that armed suspects were present inside the store. Reaction carefully entered the store, whereafter the suspects panicked and opened fire on ACSU, who returned fire. According to Mr. De Jager from ACSU, an approximate 40 rounds were fired. ACSU reaction officers suffered no injuries, but two of the four suspects were severely injured. One suspect was brought down inside the store, while a second attempted to flee via the back of the shopping complex, but was also taken down by ACSU reaction. The suspects were transported to medical facilities by Provincial EMS, whereafter one of the wounded suspects succumbed to his injuries. SAPS investigators recovered two firearms used by the suspects on scene, as well as the loot they intended to make off with. Bystanders at the shopping complex jeered at the wounded suspects as thy were tended to by EMS, and lauded the swift and stern reaction by ACSU. “Well done, ACSU. The lack of effective law enforcement in Ermelo has long been a thorn in the sides of residents and businesses, especially with regards to council properties. The issue of effective refuse removal and management had also come under the spotlight recently, with the Pet Dam, residential wards and the CBD being a veritable pigsty, flooded in refuse. For months, residents and businesses have complained about refuse skip bins not being emptied, but instead being set alight. The resulting smog is of great frustration, not to mention the health hazards. Ignored complaints of vagrants that have settled in a dilapidated public restroom at a popular shopping complex in the CBD also takes its toll, and these individuals, as well as the ghastly state of the area, are slowly creeping under the skin of surrounding residents and businesses. “I can't open the windows to my flat anymore, because the soot and smoke from the perpetually smouldering skip bins, along with the piles of refuse set alight on a near-daily basis, engulf my residence. The smell chokes us, and the smell from the building makes you nauseated,” a resident complained. Businesses in the area also suffer, with the parking area being littered with all manner of refuse, and shady characters lurking about, wringing their idle hands. “The vagrants are a big issue. One feels unsafe if you are constantly watched by drug-addled individuals every second of every day. You worry about your vehicle's wellbeing, you worry about being mugged. It's extremely stressful. Some days there are individuals openly abusing substances at this building, and no action is taken,” lamented another. On scene, the stench of urine and feaces, coupled with the piles of refuse lining the interior of the vandalized building is overwhelming, with the Tribune noting at least six different individuals entering and exiting the building, while clearly acting nervous and erratic. An enquiry had been sent to Msukaligwa Local Municipality regarding this issue, as well as the removal of refuse, which is being neglected. Speurders van SAPD Ermelo het op Donderdag, 2 September, twee persone gearresteer vir handel in dagga. Die lede was besig om na 'n verdagte voertuig te soek. 'n Soortgelyke voertuig is by 'n motorwas fasiliteit opgemerk. Die lede het die voertuig deursoek, en dagga binne die voertuig gevind.
