Karatekas deliver award-winning chops

Lesedi Twala received gold for kumite (Fighting), and Sensei Eugene Smith was awarded silver for Kata (Form) during trials that took place in Delmas.
Ermelo Shotokan Karate-do once again set the gold standard after Lesedi Twala received gold for kumite (Fighting), and Sensei Eugene Smith was awarded silver for Kata (Form) during trials that took place in Delmas. These karatekas represents Ermelo Shotokan Karate Academy and the style organization SKISA. Both these contenders have been selected, and will partake in the upcoming SA’s. Mpumalanga trials took place in Delmas. The junior SA’s will take place in in Durban on 4-6 March 2022, and the senior SA’s will take place 1-3 April 2022 in Gauteng. Sensei Smith stated that karate is a sport that focuses on developing character, sincerity, effort, etiquette and self-control.
