A blaze waiting to break out

GK CRONJE

The innards of what is left of the kiosk has been haphazardly taped, but elements and UV rays have made the insulation brittle.

A jerry-rigged electrical kiosk in Wes Street that has seen better days, is considered as a fire hazard waiting to happen. The innards of what is left of the kiosk has been haphazardly taped, but elements and UV rays have made the insulation brittle. A high voltage cable, which is supposed to be buried underground, is also visible next to the kiosk. Further concerning is the fact that the kiosk is located within a rather deep indent in the ground, which will fill with water in a matter of minutes in the coming rain season.
